DIY Fabric Design Adult age 16+

Are you interested in experimenting with fabric dye but don’t want to mess up your house? Then this class is for you! Learn how to dye your own fabric to create a scarf, pillow or project of your choice. Techniques and materials covered in class will include applying dye to cotton fabric; batik wax resist; Indigo vat dying; experimenting with Color Magnet, and creating stencils for spray dye. By the end of this course you will have multiple pieces of dyed fabric to use as you like. Sewing machines will be available during the last session. Supply list will be emailed upon registration.

Are you interested in adding another element to your creative endeavors? Screen printing offers you this versatility. From design to heat setting, learn single process screen printing techniques using stencil and screen filler methods. Starting with simple hand drawn images you will learn how to create designs that can be printed multiple times on fabric. Turn your prints into pillows, totes, scarves or create your own t-shirts. By the end of this course you will have multiple pieces of screen printed fabric to use as you like. Sewing machines will be available during the last session. Supply list will be emailed upon registration.
