I'm trying out some different mediums lately. My last experiment was encaustic (bees wax) collage. It's messy, but kinda cool...it gives handmade papers a translucent look. I'm hoping to do this w/ my students in time for spring street fairs in Jersey City & Hoboken. It's about time I update. I was out of town...went back down to Miami Christmas week. I was in need of some sun and palm trees, and of course to see more of the graffiti murals that are found in the Wynwood Design District in Miami. Last yr. I heard about some incredible murals behind the "projects", so I set out to find them. Needless to say I was blown away. And being a little crazy, I crawled thru a hole in the wall to get a better view. Check out the images under "Miami Part 2". Hope it inspires you!  |
