I started a new painting class this morning at DuCret School of Art in Plainfield. The class is "Painting your own inner landscape"...it's based on drawing/painting from within rather than from your mind. This is a challenge for me as I like to control & plan things out...but I'm really happy with what came out of me today. We were instructed to just "draw"...whatever pops up. Below are 4 sketches I came up with. Then we were asked to "find" the important images/symbols etc in the sketches and pull from them to create a final sketch. From there I started transfering my design onto canvas.
